This section is dedicated to those Reptiles and Amphibians that are such an integral part of our environment. Ontario has 27 species of reptiles; 1 lizards, 8 turtle species, and 17 snake species. Two thirds of Ontario reptiles are of conservation concern. Ontario is also home to 26 of Canada's amphibian species.
